If I understand what you want, then yes, you are making it harder than it needs to be.

If he kept the names of the files the same as the ones you used, he could just send you the pproj file and aep file. They are small enough to email - usually - so then when you open them you would have to find the original files, but that doesn't seem too difficult. Just open the comp and render. Then open the Premiere Pro project file and render anything that needs it. Simple enough.

i see, although it really look much easier if I just use the code instead... I originally thought they could only make it resize without scale, but now i checked I ve missed the fact that I could do shift+pull just like in photoshop thats different story.

And that's way better than my way they can do whole lot more,

mine just zoom in and out , and that's about it.

Just exported LR4 catalog from desktop computer to new laptop. On desktop, 'Preferences' subfolders were in Lightroom\Lightroom Settings folder so they did not seem to transfer with the LR catalog. When I investigated, the preference sub folders ARE in the Ligthroom\Lightroom Settings folder on the new laptop, but a manual I have indicates they are to be found in \AppData\RoamingAdobe\Lightroom. When i looked, turns out the preferences subfolders are also in \AppData\Roaming - but some of them have nothing in either the Lightroom Preset subfolder or the User Preset subfolder. There are aslo more preferences subfolders in this folder than \Lightroom Settings. I copied the missing user presets from \Lightroom Setting into the \AppData ones and that seemed to bring many of my user presets back into LR on the laptop. However, I am havng a problem with Efex HDR - no matter waht folder I paste it into, it does not appear in my external editor list in LR. All the other Efex suite edit programs appeared with no difficulty.

Did I do the worng thing by pasting these user presets into the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom? Any suggestions as to how to get Efex HDR into the external editor list?

Hello,

I'm trying to add copyright information into my file metadata. When I go to File -> File Info, a window frame pops up but is completely blank inside, no text, no forms, no nothing. I have to press escape to get out of it and back to the program. This occurs in Bridge, Photoshop and Illustrator. I'm using CS6 Production Premium on Windows Vista 64 with 16 GB RAM, an AMD Athlon Phenom II X6 1090T 3.20 Ghz processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 250 graphics card. I have made sure all of my programs are up to date and I can't find anything in any help forums about this. Please help.

I find keyframing the grade quite time consuming, and of course you have no way to copy a grade without reseting the keyframes.

Here's a better way:

(I am assuming clip A --> clip A/B composite ---> Clip B. This works for dissolves, but also looks good for many other kinds of transitions).

1) send to speedgrade

2) hit the "auto create grading clips" button (don't know what this is really called) to create grading clips for all of your clips, including transition areas.

3) get rid of all the transition area grading clips - just pull them off the timeline.

4) Pull clip A grade to fully overlap the transtition

5 pull clip B grade UP ONE LAYER and then to fully overlap the transition

6) pull a dissolve up/down, etc. (whatever you need) between the two grades - it will automatically cover the transition area.

There you have it. Easy and fast to do. (Harder to explain & visualize !)

Kool aid? Shame? Here I thought I was conversing with adults. Clearly some of the subtlety of my points is being lost in the clouds of emotion.

My specific comment about "contempt" was in response to someone claiming Adobe is showing contempt to its customers. Assuming no one is forcing you to spend your money, the word does not apply in one direction more than the other!

If you don't feel Adobe is going to come out with features you're going to need, don't join. Just keep using Photoshop CS6 and don't reward Adobe for not providing you sufficient value.

If you feel Adobe is going to continue to develop things that will keep you on the cutting edge of image processing - and being there is sufficiently valuable to you - sign up.

If you're on the fence, don't sign up, but look a year from now to see what they offer. Then again the year after that. Maybe at some point you'll perceive enough value to subscribe. Or not.

Or maybe take advantage of the cheap initial $9.99/month offer, send them $120, and use Photoshop CC 14.0 for a year, but then (assuming Adobe isn't adding things you need to Photoshop) just don't renew when it's over and drop back to your Photoshop CS6 perpetual license.

I'm sorry, but this is just business decision-making. It doesn't seem difficult, and it's not something worth insulting people over.

Sorry, dass meine Anfrage nicht klar genug war.

Ich hatte eine DVD erstellt und die am Fernseher (full HD) getestet. Dort ist mir ja der Unterschied besonders aufgefallen.

Leider kann ich davon keine Screenshots zur Verfügung stellen.

Ich mache Landschaftsfilme und da treten dann z.B. folgendende Effekte auf, dass Blätter ein bisschen "klötzchenhaft" und das ganze Bild wie mit einem Weichzeichner bearbeitet aussehen.

Ich nutze Adobe Premiere Pro 6.0 mit dem aktuellsten Patch.

Erstellt ist das Projekt als HDV mit AVCHD 1920 * 1080 50p, und im Export wähle ich dann das Projekt aus uns lasse mit Encore (Version 6.0.2.004) die DVD erstellen. Menüs werden dabei keine eingefügt.

Ich habe sowohl den Dynamik LInk zu Encore als auch die die Möglichkeit über Export> Media versucht.

Im ersten Fall wird das Full HD Projekt übertragen und die Anpassung auf DVD in Encore gemacht im zweiten Fall wird das DVD-Format während des Exports erzeugt und in Encore nur noch die DVD erstellt.

Das Ergebnis ist in beiden Fällen zumindest optisch identisch.

Ich hoffe das hilft weiter.

Vielleicht ist ja etwas an meiner Arbeitsweise falsch. Ich bin noch ein Anfänger mit den Adobe Tools.

Long shot but you don't happen to have an effect (probably some form of compression/dynamics processing) accidentally set on that track? It could be easy to miss if the track was routed to a bus and the effect was actually on the bus for example.

Thank you for that tutorial. Once, Curt Wrigley (author of several Adobe Classroom in a Book editions for Premiere Pro), had just the exact tutorial on his Web site. For reasons that I do not know, Curt closed down his site. Had I known, I would have found a way to host those tutorials. Though many were originally written/produced for earlier versions of Premiere, the mechanics still worked well, for both Premiere Pro, and Premiere Elements. I only wish that he had contacted me, before he ditched them - what a loss.

I probably should get busy producing similar tutorials, and hosting them.

The financials are completely different for new CC users versus long time users who have already purchased CS6.

I have stated before that existing subscribers should be given the chance to upgrade to CC at the same price they paid to upgrade to CS6. Then every payment would just be towards using the newer features as they come along and the ownership of the product, an exit strategy, would be available at the end of the subscription.

New CC users should be given a chance to pay some sort of fee based on the duration of their subscription to buy what they have been renting.

It can't be that hard technically difficult to do. It just can't be.

The original artwork (done by a previous designer) was pretty much full color and when they went to print it on a tshirt, the tshirts were going to cost them a lot more if they were full color so they suggested for them to reduce it to 3 colors.

I ended up just redrawing it and starting from scratch but they wanted to keep it similar to the original design but simple enough in design to print as a 3 color.

As you can see below, with the green gradients and the .jpg full color squirrel, the original design had to be modified quite a bit.

I'm working on a tshirt and can only use 3 colors (Green, Black and Yellow). If you look at the attached image, I need to make the brown color that is inside of the squirrel mask out the items behind it (corn stalks, rectangle and part of the "R" in "Corn Maze". The tshirt will be grey so once the Clipping Mask is applied, it will allow the grey tshirt to become the color for the squirrel.

The problem I'm running into is if I duplicate the squirrel and use him as a clipping mask, it does the opposite of what I'm trying to accomplish. I need to mask out everything inside the squirrel, not everything outside the squirrel. In photoshop, I could just inverse the selection. Not sure how to inverse a Clipping Mask.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2nd, I have no idea about god mode

Going back a bit, "God mode," was easily invoked in many games (often "adventure," or "RPG's"), that required maybe a "thirty-finger salute," i.e. you needed maybe two other players, to all hit 30 keys at the same time to enter (or just by some secret code). This would often make one's character "invincible," and would ascribe monster attributes to any armor, weapons or magic. I only invoked such, after I had finished the game several times, just for kicks. First, I would play the game normally, making notes of all "adventures," and then try to play it as quickly, as was possible, while still solving every puzzle. Last, before I blew it away, I would invoke "God mode," and just have gratutious fun, killing all enemies, and gathering all "prizes," to hit some magnificant score - though never a "real" one. For one adventure game series, I found a way to keep my "group of adventurers" from version 1, though about 12, increasing their capabilities beyond anything ever conceived by the developers. By the time that I reached game 13, my "crew" was above anything imagined, and were totally invincible. The Mages had levels far beyond those programed, and my Dwarf was about 100x faster, than could have been conceived, plus had immunity from everything in that game. Cool !!

Now, regarding an OS, I cannot imagine the power. Would my Elf have an unlimited quiver of 1000x Flaming Arrows? Would my Mage be "level 600?" I am not sure.

Maybe Joe can enlighten me?

I've used photoshop elements 10 ad it's worked fine on my other computers. I just purchased a new computer, same size monitor and I can barely read the font or text on it. I have 20/20 vision but the workspace is so small on this computer. I've tried changing the resolution on my screens and it's not changing photoshops screen at all. I'm not sure why it is a great size on my past computers and this updated computer it's not showing properly ? Any suggestions I can not use the program any longer with the changed sizing.

That's to say after URLLoader.load( URLRequest ), the loader will not sent data away immediately( no delay )?

Cause a number of loader.load(request) commands need to be executed continuely and in order, I need to send data away without delay for each load command in order.

How to solve it?

Yes, the fonts are Type 1, from an ancient collection of PS fonts via (are you sititng down) an images and fonts CD for Corel's then-recently-acquired Ventura Publisher, circa 1993 or so.

Yes, I'm running Windows 7 Professional in 64-bit condition. (How I miss CP/M!)

Yes, my Creative Suite software is version 2.3.

I'm going to guess that your workaround is as good as your knowledge. And I may try installing the True-Type versions that came on my old CDs, see if they work where the Type 1 fonts don't.

Will get back to you with a report of progress, whether pos or neg.

In the meantime, thanks more than I can say for your answer. I was really sweating bullets, as you can imagine.

PostScript (not Adobe's): Upgrading costs many many many more coins than I have at present. Also, don't really see any practical reason for change. Except for this font frolic, the 2.3 versions do everything that I need. It would be like trading in a Luso or a Datona for a new F-12 Berlinetta. Or a Gullwing for a new SLS AMG. Why bother?

Hi there,

Nathanalf is correct; you need to save as a .psd, .gif, or .png depending on the ultimate purpose for the image.

It sounds like you are having some issues with deleting a background layer. To do so, follow these steps:

1) Here I have an image with two layers: one with an original image ("background"), and one that I want to become the final transparent image. The background layer is hidden so you can see the transparent area.

2) Here I made the background layer visible. You should be able to simply drag the layer from the layers panel to the trash can at the bottom of the panel, but if not, double click on the layer in the layers panel. This will open a dialog where you can rename the layer and will unlock it.

3) Drag the unlocked layer to the trash can to delete it.

To save as a .png:

1) Go to File > Save As

2) Under format, select .PNG. In the following dialog boxes, choose Save and OK.

When I downloaded the Acrobat Reader Version 11.0.03 update, it attached to all programs on my computer, and all programs try to open in Acrobate Reader. I had to delete Acrobat Reader totally in order to be able to use my programs. Has anyone else had this issue?
