Some third party CS5 plugins were able to function in CS5.5. This was unintended behavior and that was removed in the CS5.5 7.5.1 update. If you are a plug-in developer, you will need to update your plug-ins to enable them to load in CS5.5.

The InDesign SDK forum is for discussions on InDesign plugin development using the InDesign SDK. InDesign plugins are developed in C++. For extensions developed in other languages such as AppleScript, VB, Javascript (ExtendScript), or to a lesser degree .NET and related languages, please use the scripting forum. For discussions on creating extensions using ActionScript and Flex please use the CS SDK forum. For issues specific to InDesign Server, you might want to post on the dedicated Server Developers forum.
To use the InDesign SDK effectively, you must have the InDesign debug version installed. The InDesign debug can be accessed through the Adobe partner programs.
