Should this Mac run CT CS4?

I need some help resolving issues with a Mac and CT CS4. I'm a PC person and cannot tell one from another so can some one tell me if the machine specs below are good ? I know they meet the minimum requirements but, this machine is SLOWWW on a major broadband pipe and locks up frequently when using CT. I need to investigate and this is my starting point. Thanks for any help.

Machine Power Mac 8.1
CPU Type: PowerPC G5 ( 3.0)
1 cpu
CPU speed 1.8 GHz ( with 512 cache )
Memory 1.25 GB
Bus speed 600 MHZ
Boot Rom Version 5.2.2F4

    Please install the latest Contribute CS4 update for Mac by going to Help-> Update in Contribute CS4 and try.

    I'll try it but, we just downloadaed the trail a couple weeks ago - has there been an update since then?
    What is the most current release version number?
