Error #2048: Security sandbox violation

Mar 10, 2009 5:03 AM

Every time I try to configure an application for compilation in alchemy, configure dies on "checking whether the C compiler works..." It hangs for a bit, then pops up this security error:
quote:

Error #2044: Unhandled securityError:. text=Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: app:/app.swf cannot load data from localhost:5555.
at cmodule::CSystemBridge()
at cmodule::CRunner/startSystemBridge()
at <anonymous>()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()
at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete()

The output shows it is running $ADL c:\\cygwin/tmp/tXXXX.0/app.xml, where XXXX is a changing hexadecimal number. I try running this on my own and encounter the same result.

I have added c:\, c:\cygwin, and c:\cygwin\tmp to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrust\FlexSDK.cfg, to C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#Security\FlashPlayerTrust\cygwin.cfg, and to the global security settings trusted location list available from the interactive settings manager. I have followed the getting started instructions carefully. Still, I get these errors.

I have alchemy-cygwin-v0.5a and flex sdk 3.3.0.4589 . I used alchemy extensively last year and did not have these problems. What am I doing wrong this time?

    Hmm.. I have not tried Alchemy with that version of the Flex SDK. Does the problem go away if you use Flex SDK v3.2? (which is what was current when released)
