Protect each pdf with unique password.

Jun 28, 2007 11:43 AM

Hey,

Do you guys know how to protect each individual pdf file in a batch with a unique password, each intended for one user only? So for example Jenny Jones.pdf would have a password 6811 (last four digits of her SS#) and John Doe.pdf would get a password 6754. I have 360 users like that and three files for each, every month.

I'm not a developer but I learn as I go along. I'm in the middle of a project for my company's compensation statement distribution. We have a portal through which we can deliver each user their file but this is not a completely secure process because users tend to give same entitlements to their co-workers. I got the pdf to print from access database saving each pdf with a unique name but I can't password protect with a unique password for each user. And opening and typing in password for each user is not an option:)

Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.

    Jake and Julie,

You're a lot more likely to get a faster answer if you post in the Acrobat forum for your platform, Macintosh or Windows.

Nevertheless, the password "protection" of a PDF is an illusion. There are commercial applications available (I have a license for one of those) that will generate a "decrypted" copy of ANY PDF in a matter of seconds. You can then open, edit and print any PDF, regardless of "security" settings.

But if you can't open ANY PDF documents, you have other problems. Again, this is a question for the Acrobat forums.

A Dirge for Runic Power for RuneScape Gold.
Comparing with other websites, our RuneScape Gold is cheap enough, fast, and safe. We advise each player to order Cheap RS Gold here.
As of the latest patch, Dirge now affects Blood Strike, Plague Strike and Icy Touch. However, it no longer affects Scourge Strike and Festering Strike. Essentially, this makes it near worthless for endgame two-handed unholy, while further cementing the dominance of dual wielding. Here's the main issue: Currently, endgame unholy rotations completely skip the use of all three of these skills by using Outbreak to apply diseases and Festering Strike to maintain those diseases and use up blood runes. Assuming everything works out, other than emergency disease reapplication when Outbreak is on cooldown, we'll not be using those skills, meaning Dirge does next to nothing for us. So come here to Buy WOW Gold.
