Has anyone else seen this?
I get an error message saying I may be missing a plug in or the file type is not supported. I have tried in both CS3 and CS4.
I have had my client save as a CS4 indd and export to inx. No luck. They tell me other vendors, in Europe, have opened this successfully. I have sent this to colleagues at other shops in the US and they can not open it either.
Any ideas??
Cannot open the file"xxxx.indd". Adobe InDesign may not support the file format, a plug in that supports the file format may be missing, or the file may be open in another application.

Did you first get your client's approval to do this?
I can understand wanting to adhere to a sense of client confidentiality. But your criteria instead seems to be familiarity. Would you send it to Adobe technical support? Bob is a well respected member of the Indesign community and one of these forums moderators. In an effort to serve the client, I would send the file to him without reservation, unless specifically instructed otherwise by the client.
What language and version of CS are we specifically talking about?
Bob is a certified ID expert. Take the time to click through his link. You can either send the file or not send it and apparently you can send it. If you really need help
