Is there some way I can have the program work in metric ..?

Or am I going to have to become an Imperialist?

In the menu, select Window - Drawing Aids. There is an option to set the grid and ruler units (inches, centimeters, millimeters, points).

I suppose I've gotten used to the way Microsoft programs are setup and when something is a bit different it gets a bit hard to work out sometimes.
