Here's Lucky and Gidget. Lucky was my dads dog before he died, and Gidget was my mums dog before she decided she didn't want pets (about two months after she got her).

They're just catching a few morning rays as it's quite cold early here.

    >I'll bet she could run like the wind as a youngster

I had a friend who had a Greyhound from a rescue, Casey beat the Greyhound in a sprint.

A couple of weeks ago Casey was still chasing after a softball, her back legs are shot but she doesn't give up. I know I am going to have to let her go soon so I am taking every day I get with her as a blessing.

He's a big baby! He's a little rough around the edges and can't come in the house as often as I'd like him to. He's feisty, to say the least, but when I am home, I'm sittin with him for 15 minutes just pettin and lovin him, cooin and oohing and ahhing like he was a baby in need of attention. :D My family think I am crazy. :D

    Ken,

right now I don't let Jesse off-leash ... he needs more training, as does his master! ;)

He spends most of his time lounging on the pool deck and enjoying the ever-so-common jumps into the pool. :D

    >Casey is my sentimental favorite...

Yup, same here. I've been thinking lately that I should get another dog. Both so that Bailey has a buddy and because of the fact that he's about 8-1/2 years old and I know it's gonna rip my heart out when he "goes"; so I better have another dog around to help ease the pain.

Bailey's best friend for a few years was a Golden named Sundance. They're wonderful dogs---and I know all about their tendency for "ball-hoggedness". Sunny treated tennis balls like they were her puppies.

Alas, not having pure bloodlines like most of the other dogs here, Bailey's a mutt from a shelter---not unlike his owner, me. :-)

He was run over by some
idiot on our street.

Indy passed almost two years ago, so it's better now. I wish I could say that he's better, yadda yadda, but I have no clue. I need to rescan these larger sometime but here are some of my kitties. Most have long since gone on to the Rainbow Bridge.

First up: my first cat, Tigger, was an only cat for years. We got him a friend when he was an old man in his teens. Tigger's the orange kitty, and Krystal is the other one. You can see how happy he was!

Krystal had kittens (not with Tigger's help; he was fixed!) and Tigger welcomed them to the family. Columbus, the cat on the left of Krystal, earned her name by always being the first to explore something new. (Unfortunately, that later included a road.)

Here's my sweetie, Mia. She left us in 2004.

And last but not least, here's Bubba. He's a relatively slim teenager in this photo, but he's a respectable 12 years old now, and the only kitty I have left.

Casey get half a Rymadil® twice a day, she has for a couple of years now, she also gets Glycosamine +, vitamin E and Fish oil every day.

It is great to see every ones families, they all look so wonderful. Sorry about the ones that have already passed on. It is hard to let go of such love.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Snuffles ( we lost her last year, she was 14) and Casey.

Molly McButter to be exact.

At one time we had three generations of Shih-Tzu's in my mom's house. My mom had Muffin. Muffin was bred to have 4 puppies, one we kept, who was Sushi (Shih-Tzu backwards.) Sushis was the neighborhood slut. No matter how many holes we patched up, she got out and got pregnant. Everytime we'd take her to get her fixed, she was pregnant. She had about 6 litters, that we found good homes for every adorable puppy! Her last litter was with a Yorkie... Molly came from it.

Molly was born on December 29th, 1990. She is still alive and living with my mother, but last I heard was not in good health. I don't now how I'll react when my little girl finally passes. Molly and I used to have the kind of friendship that a girl and her dog should have. She knew when I was happy, sad, sick, whatever.

Oh yeah - and that's my mother. I haven't seen her in over 2 years. We don't speak.
