Well I did go sailing in the Solent last Friday, just for the day, to watch some of the racing at Cowes. It was quite a grey day, and I didn't take many pictures, and those I did take look rather shabby compared to
b graffiti's
lovely pics. Still, here they are:
This is the (in)famous Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, which was originally going to be called the Millennium Tower and was supposed to be ready by 2000, but building was delayed so they had to change the name! It's a fantastic landmark from sea - you can see it from miles away.

Watching a race in the distance
and the beautiful Hugo Boss, which will be racing in the Vendée Globe soon.
We also saw this weird looking boat from a distance - couldn't work out what it was for a while. Earthrace has just circumnavigated the globe and runs on biodiesel. Not my picture, I found it somewhere on the web.

We've been back from Turkey for a week now and I'm still dreaming about it. It was a beautiful place - full of little islands and bays with just one small restaurant - deep blue seas, deep blue skies, just the right temperature, good winds every day. We sailed somewhere different every day and stayed somewhere different every night. I wish I was still there, my tan's beginning to go already! We did bring the weather back with us though, England's having an Indian summer at the moment.
I didn't take that many pictures - I've decided I need a new camera - but here are a few which worked out ok.
