ProHeadless error!

What does ProHeadless error mean?

I picture chickens without their head running around the barnyard. Maybe appropriate.

    pproheadless is what connects Premiere to the AME and to Encore via Dynamic Link.

    Thanx Jeff.

    I get the error occassionally after Encoding (wmv) but it does not seem to affect the ecncode or the process.

    If (or should I say WHEN) PPro crashes I find I have to open the task manager and end ProHeadless before I can shut off the computer. There is also a file "capture font" that is lurking in the background that needs to be ended to close down.

    I have been getting this 100% of the time when I try to encode a specific H.264 video. It fails everytime I leave it on overnight. At least 10 times in a row now. AME prompts me on startup for an "update with this version of PP" in the help menu, but there is no update to select.

    I just had this error consistently again while encoding 1.5 minute video to H.264. Looks like a clock wipe transition was causing this so I just took it out. Weird!
