png in pdf : acroread bug

If you put a png image in a pdf (with latex → pdflatex), it works with other viewers (evince, kpdf), but not correctly with acroread.

    What's the issue? I couldn't see any difference between the 3 images. Please give more details about the issue.

    Look at the Fig. 2.1, in acroread the colors are wrong (very saturated), while they are ok with other viewers... This problem occurs with all png images included in a latex file.

    Try to include this screenshot in a .tex file, and compile it with pdflatex :

    In fact, it happens only with png with alpha channel.
    But I heard it's normal because the pdf version is 1.4 so <1.5... Strange, because it works with other viewers...

    I have to find how to make a pdf 1.5 with pdflatex...

    I added :
    \pdfminorversion 5

    So the generated pdf is pdf 1.5 (seen in pdf properties in acroread).

    But the problem with png files still occurs.

    To resolve the problem, I just remove the alpha channel (in gimp for example) of my png, and acroread displays it correctly.

    EDIT: with \pdfminorversion 7 (pdf 1.7), acroread has no the bug.
    png are correctly displayed.
