Acroread 8.1.2 error opening Printer Properties dialog in RHAS4.1

Hi,
I'm using RetHat Advanced Enterprise 4.1(2.6.9-42.0.8.ELsmp) and Acroread 8.1.2 on x86_64 SMP. Now I operate as a normal user, not root. Each time I open Acroread and click on File->Print, it'll popup Printer Properties dialog, but fail to display it. The dialog looks gray and none of its component can be seen.
What shall I do?

    Hello,

    You can try the following at your end :

    1) Before launching reader from the shell, give the following command :
    export ACRO_PRINT_DEBUG=1
    2) Launch Reader.
    3) Open a pdf document.
    4) Go to File->Print.
    5) Choose a printer and press the Properties button.

    You may get some error messgaes on the console.

    Please post these messages so that we can narrow down the issue.

    Sorry, I have errors in previous description. It's Print Dialog that can't be opened, not Print Properties dialog.

    When I open a pdf and click File->Print, the dialog will appear but no component can be seen(choose printer/properties, ...). So I can't do anything, including printing.

    I try your way, it stops at (4) and can't go to (5).

    Hello,

    So did you get any error messages on the console after the step 4.
    I hope you had set the ACRO_PRINT_DEBUG variable to 1 ( Step 1).

    Yes, I've set ACRO_PRINT_DEBUG variable to 1 and run acroread.
    After clik on File->Print or Print button in the toolbar, the Print dialog will appear but no component can be seen, and no message appears in the terminal screen.

    What should I do next? Can it be fixed by re-install acroread?
    If so, I'll ask the administrator to do that.
