Do clearing signature not need to access private key?

I have signatured a PDF file using a pfx file and i copy the PDF file to another computer which does not have that pfx.

But I found I can delete that signature.

what's wrong with this?

Is it OK?

Again, Acrobat 9 will not let you do that, earlier versions of Acrobat will.

Thanks.I have tested it on the Acrobat 7,but not on Acrobat 9.
So, if there are some SDK methods to make the signature not be deleted?
