Hi All. I'm new here. I've used iWeb in the past, but decided to take a step up and learn Dreamweaver. I start a class in June.
I'd love to see samples of your websites made with Dreamweaver.
Dreamweaver is fairly straightforward to learn once you understand HTML and CSS code. Good coding practices are universal whether you use DW or a plain text editor to build your pages. Focus on learning how to work with code and everything else will fall into place.

Thanks, Nancy, for the advice and all the great links. I'm sure I'll refer to them a lot once I start the class. I've already gone through some of the Dreamweaver tutorial, so I'm getting acquainted with HTML and CSS, but I still have a lot to learn.
Anyone want to give me a link to their website, that they built in Dreamweaver?? I'd love to see your work.

I think you are missing the concept that Nancy tried to convey. "Built in Dreamweaver" has no real meaning as to the appearance or performance of a Web site. It is the HTML/CSS (and more) that have meaning here.
Consider two houses. One built with a manual hammer[1] and the other built with a powered nail gun. Which is better? Do you think it was the tool that created the better house? Or do you think it was careful planning, understanding of the technology, and implementation - regardless of the tool - that resulted in the better house? DW is just a tool.
FWIW, in all the sites I've been involved in, not a single one was built 100% in Dreamweaver. I use various tools to create the desired output for browsers.
[1] AKA "Random Impact Device - Hand Generated" (I saw this in a supply database listed for more than $400.00)

I couldn't have said this any better, Mark. ![]()
And while I don't use the entire Adobe suite of products, I do use DW, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash authoring apps and a truckload of other wares I have collected over the years. If the OP really wants to see what I do, he can peruse my site at http://alt-web.com

Oh, sorry. I get it now. I just came from months on Apple's iWeb Discussion boards where people are showing their websites all the time. But that's because some have used the iWeb templates, they're mostly personal/blog/photo websites, not professional and there's no code used there. So, nevermind!
But I'm glad to see there is support here in these forums. I'll just sit back and read for awhile.
Thanks.
