reverse a sound in Sb CS4?

Jun 12, 2009 8:17 AM

Hey all

I did a quick internet search and I cant find an answer to how to revers and invert an audio file in Sb. The Wiki articial said that the feature was not available in CS3, but that it was going to be added in CS4 ... did  that boat get missed?

There is no command for reversing a sound in Soundbooth.

I just use Premiere Pro for that - but if it's not possible in Soundbooth then that's a great failing for audio editing software.

I'm sure it used to be possible in Audition - which I think is what it used to be called before they changed the name to Soundbooth - but I think (If my memory serves) that you could only reverse the entire file, not just part of the sound file.

Which is what I'd like to be able to do.

So if anyone can tell us how to do it in Soundbooth CS4 - great!

    Fran

Audition and Soundbooth are not the same application, and Audition does offer full reverse functionality - reverse an entire file, reverse a small selection, etc.  Soundbooth does not offer a Reverse command at this time.

As a musician, I am deeply disappointed with Soundbooth CS4. I regret purchasing it. No reverse. No easy way of fading mid track. It is artistically limiting. I prefer my brother's copy of Cool Edit Pro from 2000. Please think of art for the next release.

Sound Booth is terrible! Audition IS cool edit. Adobe bought the team a few years back and audition is the evolution of Cool Edit Pro 2.0
