Do I have the legit and correct Flash player 10?

Aug 7, 2009 7:53 PM

Windows Vista Home Premium with Vista SP2  using IE7

I had difficulty getting Flash player 10  version 10.0.32.18 from download at the adobe site. Kept getting error

"GetPlus+  Error  Operating System Error! 16236.203.235"

and I was not able to download from the adobe site. But then I remembered that if you don't have flash player and you go to a site that requires it, It will prompt you to download flash player. So I went to a legit site www.dallasstars.com it gave me a prompt to download adobe instaler and flash player. When I agreed, it gave me the install file for flash player and I clicked it. Now when I look at my programs in the add/remove listing I see ADOBE Flash Player 10active x version

10.0.32.18  When I go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash I see the following items:

Flashc.ocx

FlashUtil10c

both of which are digitally signed by ADOBE and version 10.0.32.18

uninstall_active x

and a install text document

when I go to my IE7 under add-ons I see Shockwave Flash Object from adobe also version 10.0.32.18

So bottom line, was able to get the legit and correct current version of Flash player 10 even though I went about it in a round about way? That the link from the stars website took me to adobe and adobe
