Quit DW.

Find this file -

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)

and delete it.

Restart DW. Works better?

It does come back - it's supposed to. But when it comes back, it's rebuilt.

Anyhow, for grins, try this -

Quit DW.

Find this folder -

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)

and rename it (say xConfiguration).

Restart DW. Works better?

Yes. How many did you have? I suspect it might have been one of them that
caused this problem in the first place. Are you sure they are all DMX or
greater in their compatibility?
