Is LiveCycle supported on Vmware in production?

Sep 6, 2009 5:49 PM

I am getting conflicting information concerning LiveCycle and whether it is supported in a virtual environment.  I have a client that wants to install and run Process management, in production, on a virtual machine.  This is due to limited resources.  Please let me know if this set up is a supported environment.

For Development and Testing you can go with the Virtual machine setup (may be a turn-key installation), but for Production it is not advisible.

However if your execution payload is not much, you can try on the virtual machine.

I have experience in devloping adobe applciations in VMWare and we faced the connection failure issues occasionally.

After restart of JBoss service, it will back to operational.

Better consult with your System admin.

VMware ESX is fully supported, Microsoft Hyper-V is not.

AIX LPARs and Solaris Zones are also supported.
