how to set timeout

Hi,

Could any one give me some idea, how to set timeout in flex 3? I have an app that talks to the Java services. Sometime, it takes quite long time to get some information back from the server and keep my app running with the rotating clock sign and am not able to do anything until the result comes back. So i would like to set a time out for like 30 secs so that I can warn the user to try that later.

you can use the "scriptTimeLimit" in tag Application

Thanks for the reply Leonardo.

It seem to through actionscript exception saying the 15 sec timeout has expired or something like that. How can I catch this event and though a proper message to the user? Can you post an example? Thanks
