Because of the frequently asked question - "how do I turn off Email Notification in the forum," I'm doing this little tip sheet. If you are getting tons of Emails, and do not want them, you need to go to your Your Stuff>Profile. Start with Manage Email Notifications, Image 01:
You will then get the screen below, Image 02:
As you can see, I have no Email Notifications selected, but verify what you have, and then go back to the Profile and choose Edit Preferences, Image 03:
From there, choose Email Notifications Preferences tab, image 04:
There, you can choose from 12 possibilities, for Email Notification.
Hope that this helps.
[Edit] Note that this has been changed to reflect the Adobe Forum changes, and the new skins.

I found that even though the procedure and method described in the article are accurate, it is important to note that the deactivation relate only to the “Discussion” topic on hand. This is to say that deactivation of ALL email notifications can only take place when the email notification for EACH and every “Discussion” topic is individually deactivated.
Yes, due to the layout of the Jive software interface, one needs to navigate to a couple of places, to eliminate all e-mail notification. One for all fora, one for personally initiated post, and finally, for e-mail notification of Personal Messages.
Would be so very easy, if all were on the same Preferences screen, like it used to be, where one could just check what they wanted to be notified about. Life was simple, way back then... ![]()

I haven't tested this, because I want the emails, but...
In Bill's image #3, if you use the drop down to select "forums," you can unsubscribe from one or more forums. What I don't know if whether this will also unsubscribe all the individually subscribed threads. A "select all" button would be nice there too.
Please note that this is for a single Adobe Account. If one has more than one Adobe Account, they will need to perform the tasks for each account. If the accounts were not intentionally created, then one should post to the Forum Comments forum, to have accounts fixed.
Good luck,

Are you having issues with e-mail notifications?
Since the settings for how e-mail notifications are handled, are done so on the Adobe Forums, via a Web browser, the platform should not make any difference. The settings should be the same. If you have gone to all of the possible settings locations, adjusted those to OFF, and you are still getting e-mail notifications, it could be that you have multiple Adobe Forum Profiles, and are only making the adjustments to one of those. If that is the case, see the link in Reply # 4, for the Forum Comments Forum, and post there. Adobe-Admin can track your Profiles, and tell you exactly what you are subscribed to.
Good luck, and welcome to the forum.

Bill,
I just saw this thread because one of the Johns in this thread referred to it:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/998442?tstart=0
Should it not be repeated in the Forum Comments forum, and maybe turned into a Document or something?
This is my first visit ever in this forum.
Jacob,
Thanks for the comment.
I have no problem with part/all of this being posted, or linked, where ever appropriate. I initially posted it in the Tips & Tricks sub-forum for Premiere, as so many were having issues in the product forums. I have linked to it, from several posts to the Forum Comments forum, as others were having difficulty with changing the e-mail notification.
As you work in many more forums, than do I, please feel free to post/link, where you feel appropriate.
Thank you for all that you do to make the Adobe Forums a great experience for so many.

Also see this Adobe FAQ on e-mail notifications. It should have some of the latest screen-caps, and cover any steps, that might have changed in the update.
