I'm having trouble with printing pds.

In the mean time I have gone in and changed several of the preferences in Adobe Pro.

How do I get them back to the original settings?

All the preferences for Acrobat are stored in the register under:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat - backup and delete that key and it will revert to the default config.

I'm very surprised that the default config isn't easier to accomplish.Surely this is built in somewhere!

I'm not comfortable going into the Registry.

I did finally get my color back, only in this busy office I lost track of exactly what I changed.  I don't know if I was in Normal printing or Post Script, but I remember checking something about "show as image."

Not as far as I know. If you just want to reset the toolbars - you can right click on the toolbar area near the top and there's an option in there.

There is a print as image option in the advanced printing options - is that what you are looking for?

Certainly seems like this would be a good addition to their

preferences. A group of people went tearing through the preferences and

made lots of changes trying to print a form while I was away from my

desk. I use very few functions of pdf so do not have the experience to

know what to change back. It really surprises me that Adobe didn't

think of this.

I am in the process of trying to find a good all around book about pdf

now. Any suggestions?

I would submit a feature request here:
