This application requires .. Shockwave Player 10" but it is installed!

I keep getting this message:

This This application requires .. Shockwave Player 10, which is not installed. Click OK to download .. it " ! ,

Clicking OK doesn nothing. In fact, this is a new reformat and Flash 11 was installed. I cant get this error to keep popping up. any ideas?

Hi, you can always try an uninstaller & then re-installing the application(s)..:)

This will absolutely solve the problem with this error.

You need to make sure that you download the Shockwave Player FULL, not SLIM,
because slim doesn't download the XTRA. Try this link:

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/

Pick the one for your browser and computer. Uninstall the Shockwave Player
that you have right now, and re-install a FULL version. I did this because I
had the same problem, and it worked.

The .EXE versions of Shockwave do not include the compatibility components needed to view older Shockwave content. You need to locate the .MSI version. It's larger, because it contains SW10 (aka: the compatibility components).

For your current installation, verify backwards compatibility is turned on, and it should download the components automatically.
