Recenty used files cleaned up at restart PC

I am working with InDesign CS4 (dutch version) on a Windows XP network environment. The software is installed on my local drive for which I have administrator rights.
But at every restart the recently used files is blank and also the shortcuts I created are gone. This is only a problem in ID (the other CS4 programs work perfect) but were also the case in the CS3 version. I started with CS4 on a new computer so there can't be any history.
Could it be a rights problem and if so, can you help me?
By the way, yesterday I reset my InDesign default files.
Thanks a lot
Anja
I've had the same problem since my CS3 installation (only InDesign, WIN XP-Network)
There was this little thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/313964?tstart=0
but since I dont use tweakui and my recent winfiles are enabeld there is no solution to the problem so far and I gave up.
Resetting prefs would kill the recent list, but I don't think that's the issue.
Is your user profile stored on the network? If so there's a good chance it's either a permissions issue or some sort of re-write (less likely, but schools tend to "freeze" machines to prevent damage). If you look at the Replace Your Preferences link, you'll see the folder locations for various operatinf systems when installed locally. You should be able to extrapolate the paths on a network from that.
I suppose it's even possible that ID simply won't write prefs to a network.
I have local administrator rights on my C drive. The problem only occurs in InDesign.
Like I wrote: yesterday I followed your instruction to replace the preferences. When I look now in that directory there are no new Indesign defaults and color settings file. Only a .ase file I made yesterday with the corporate colors.
CS4 is installed on my C drive. It has always been. That's why they granted me administrator rights for my local drive because Adobe writes his files to C.
Prefs and recent lists are written to your user profile. As I said, if you reset the prefs, the recent list is erased as part of the SavedData file that is removed, but should get rebuilt as you open and save new files.
I found an InDesign SavedData file of today in
C:\Documents and Settings\usojdi\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 6.0\nl_NL\Caches
Is that the file where this information is stored?
That would correct, I think, for a Dutch version on XP. SavedData includes your recent files and a lot of other stuff about how the program was left, but I'm not sure exactly which things are there and which are in InDesign Defaults.
There has been some discussion about problems with non-US versions looking for things in a non-existent en-US folder. Take a look at http://forums.adobe.com/message/2350944
Here's a reason to move to Windows 7:

Try that in a network environment.

I do have the standard shortcuts. In the mentioned message he missed all shortcuts. But I make my own shortcuts, save them under my name. But each day I have to choose my own shortcut-set again. So there much be a file somewhere but I can't find it.
Talk to your network Admin. I think this is a problem that you have both a local and a network profile, but I'm not all that network literate.
KB shorcuts should be saved in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 6.0\<language>\InDesign Shortcut Sets
I suspect the shortcuts ae there, but ID is looking at the wrong SavedData/Defaults pair where your chosen set is specified.
