code view in recipes?

Jan 12, 2010 3:00 AM

Hi,

I just create a request for a recipe here:

http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_How_do_I_update_a_xml_file_with_ColdFu sion_Form_-16679.html

The formating does not look good at all

I am seeing other recipes, with beautiful formatting, and nice code formating too.

I am using the Mac, and I have tried both Safrai & Firefox to see if there was a WYSYG editor(like here), but there was not. I also tried to use <code> my code block</code> but that did not work either.

I am wondering if I can ask you to format code on the CookBook Site?

Thanks,

Johnny

    Hi Johnny,

Currently code formatting is only available for recipes, not recipe requests.  This is because there is an editor associated with the "Detailed Explanation" field when creating a recipe, but not on other text fields.

We are looking to change this in an upcoming update, but for now formatting code in a recipe request is not possible.

    Sorry for any inconvenience.
