Using Flash CS4, whenver I try to publish an actionscript 2.0 movie, I get this message:
The file 'toplevel.as', which is required for typechecking ActionScript 2.0, could not be found. Please make sure the directory '$(L
ocalData)/Classes' is listed in the global classpath of the ActionScript Preferences.
$(LocalData)/Classes is listed, and toplevel.as is in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS4\Common\First Run\Classes
and also C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Flash CS4\en\Configuration\Classes
I am unable to add a new classpath.
What is the problem?
Browser: Firefox
Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Yes I've done that. I've searched for hours and read everything I can find. I found many people with the same problem, no solutions. The file exisits in numerous places but not the correct one for this intallation.
Is there any other way to get help? I have tried the Adobe Phone help and after many hours of waiting then talking people who are totally clueless and adding "fixes" that have nothing to do with the problem, it seems like a dead end. What else can I do?
