I have a crawling title, but I want the final phrase to stay stationary in the middle of the screen, rather than just disappear at the end. How do I make this happen?
I thought changing ease out to 500 and post roll to 500 would make it slow down, and then pause on the final frame, but instead, if i change post roll to anything, the whole title is just the final frame, and it doesn't display any of the rest of the title.
Using the Roll/Crawl option is the best way to go.
If the Ease out is set it will give you an nice flow into a hold.
As for cutting the titler on the timeline and using Frame Hold (that would be Outpoint on the second part) will give you a instant hold.
Personally, I would not use the Title Roll/Crawl Preset. Instead, just do a static Title, and then Keyframe your fixed Effect>Motion>Position. You can stop the Motion, reverse the Motion, make it cha-cha, whatever you want. you do not need to fritz with Pre-roll, Post-roll, or anything. You can alter the Velocity of each phase of the animation too, making it say start to roll fast, and then slow down as it gets to your "hold" point.
