No  "Timelines" in window menu in CS4

Mar 5, 2010 9:54 PM

I decided to explore dynamic layers as an alternate to using mostly Flash based websites.

I don't have a "Timeline" menu item in the window menu of cs4 Dreamweaver.

I still have my cs3 version, and it is there.

Timeslines were removed in CS4.  See the expert from the DW CS4 help:

    Deprecated features

The following features have been deprecated for Dreamweaver CS4:

    • Timelines

    • Web services

    • Layout mode

    • Site Map view

    • Java Bean support

    • Adobe® Flash elements (Image Viewer)

    • Adobe® Flash text and Adobe® Flash buttons

    • ASP.NET and JSP server behaviors and recordsets

I too was disappointed by this, but they tried to remove it before in MX and then added it back when there was a huge outcry.  I don't hear the outcry this time though and apparently neither does Adobe.

Very disappopinted that Timeline is not in CS4. How did you resolve the problem of laying photos on

top each other to create a slide show within a single HTML?

Where did you find Dynamic Layers?
