Ctrl E not working -

Mar 12, 2010 12:37 PM

My client and I are both no longer able to edit our site. When we browse to the page and do a ctrl E, the focus goes to the upper right hand Explorer tool bar. We ARE able to update from the Administration site. Please help. Thanks.

More info, our mouse is NOT in the tool bar area when doing the ctrl E

    I believe the correct answer would simply be that you can't use a frameset. ICE doesn't support that nor iFrames, etc.

    Your workaround is to goto the page itself that you are trying to frame and edit that. I tested it and that is set up for ICE.

    Good Luck,

    Yeah Mikki... SAME THING !!

    Here is the code from that page...

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"
       "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

    <html>

    <head>
      <title>Chattanooga United </title>
      <META name="description" content="The Chattanooga United Futbol
               Club was brought together to benefit the entire soccer community in Chattanooga,
               and to provide every player, at every l"
    >
      <META name="keywords" content="select soccer, youth soccer, soccer in Chattanooga, youth
                  soccer clubs, Chattanooga youth soccer, youth futbol, youth futbol league, select
                  futbol, Chattanooga futbol, football club"
    >
    </head>
    <frameset rows="100%,*" border="0">
      <frame src="http://www.chattanoogaunitedsoccer.com/u1199redg/index.html" frameborder="0" />
      <frame frameborder="0" noresize />
    </frameset>

    <!-- pageok -->
    <!-- 05 -->
    <!-- -->
    </html>

    Alternatively.. if you goto the actual FRAME SOURCE:  http://www.chattanoogaunitedsoccer.com/u1199redg/index.html

    You can edit that page.

    Good Luck,

    -Tom

    Of note.. it appears that you are trying to migrate one domain name to another

    If that is the case then you should either forward the site from your Domain Control Panel or modify (create) an .htaccess file at the root of the domain you want to forward FROM

    If you don't know how to do this, PM me and I will create the file for you to upload. All visitors who go to one address will be forward to the new address automatically.

    Cool.. glad to help. And yeah, thanks. No hard feelings.

    If you could be so kind as to mark one of these answers as "Correct Answer" and any "Helpful Answers" that would be really cool

    It helps other people find answers when they search the forums.

    Good Luck,

    I would but you havent actually forwarded the domain.. so that would be incorrect. What you have done is successfully FRAME the old site into your new site.

    I sent you a PM explaining in detail how to properly forward the domain and set up the new one for ICE. If you have any questions on that, feel free to PM me or post a new question and I'll go over it with you in greater detail.

    Good Luck,

    -Tom

    PS.. you're getting there, man.. hang in there
