Is has to be something baisc

I have racked my brain over this and checked each setting but I know I am missing somthing.  I am capturing from my Mini Disk deck to my mixer board then into my Kona AJA Lhi card.  I know the audio is coming in because the VU meters on the board show it, and I can hear it perfectly when I hit record in Sound Booth but until I click record it is quiet.  I suspect there is a preview box I have failed to check.  Can someone lead me down the path of knowledge...thanks.

    You likely need to check the default input channels in Soundbooth's audio hardware preferences.  Under Preferences > Audio Hardware you can verify or change your input channels for the selected device to match the channel your deck is feeding.
