How do you produce a good quality DVD for standard player use from the mpeg4 files produced in the lightroom slideshow module.
I am either getting error messages or something of such poor quality its unusable. My client would love to have something to use on a kiosk display which is looped and looks good. So far no luck. I've tried not only bringing it directly into idvd, but also into imovie and outputting a mov file, which looks not to bad, but when it goes through idvd, it turns to dodo. This needs to be addressed in the final version of lightroom 3.
What does any of that have to do with Adobe Encore?
You are supposed to do your editing before you get to Encore for authoring... and give Encore DVD legal files for it to use
As far as I know, the DVD specification is for MPEG2... not MPEG4
I never mentioned encore. What I'm trying to get at is haveing light room produce a file in its slideshow module which will burn for use on a standard player which could be mpeg 2. If there is a way to convert the current output of mpeg 4 to something that would burn for use in a standard player with good quality, I would love to know what that process is.
For a DVD-Video, you will want to Export to a 100% DVD-compliant MPEG-2. Now, if you are doing a DVD-Data disc, you can use any format/CODEC, that your player/computer can handle. That will differ by the equipment.
