Sometimes accounts will split themselves upon (automatic) logon. When this happens, a second account will be created with a username that starts the same way as your original username, but it has a hyphenated suffix of a 6 or 7 random characters. For example, username-kOk0lk1, username-PVFkNa or username-W5kymp. All your old forum messages have been added to one or the other account, so you may or may not be able to edit old messages and access private messages.

If this did not fix the problem, post in the Forum Comments forum. Post both account names and state thatyou have followed the steps outlined here (otherwise you will be pointed back to this FAQ entry). An admin should get to fixing your account in a few days.
