How to get width property of the input source?

Apr 18, 2010 8:11 PM

Sometimes, I maybe use the width property of the input source to control the output effect, is the width property available now? It seems that I can't find help in the language reference docs.....

The width of the input image isn't available, instead you need to pass

the width and/or height in an input parameters.

Pixel Bender works in the infinite image plane, meaning that you can sample anywhere and get a value back. In Flash, if you sample off the edge of an image, you get the player background color. There currently isn't a function that will get you the size of the image (it has more to do with how Pixel Bender works in Photoshop and After Effects than in Flash), but that is a big user request (obviously), so we're looking at adding it into the next version of the language.
