I just came accross the favicon export extension (John Dunning) but now it turns out it's not for Mac. Is there another developer who has something cooked up for Mac? One would expect that something like this would be standard to FW CS4.

The extension does work on the Mac, but FW usually hangs after it runs, unfortunately. You then have to force-quit FW, which is obviously pretty inconvenient. I'm hoping that CS5 will include a fix for the bug.
Thanks John. I my case the extension only works half. It does create a project with 2 pages @ 16 and 32 px but on export I got an error. For now I'll stick to PS or AI. If you're planning an update, maybe it's an idea to in set the project up @ 256 x 256 and then downsize to 16 and 32. That will give you smoother graphics and gradients. Just a thought.
