delay with every action i do in cs3

im not sure if my computer has too many files on it or not but my photoshop is running slow,

the ruler at the top and left ripple after each thing i do such as crop and image or scroll up an image. Sometimes im working on a file wtih several layers and it just cuts off. i have no time to save anything. ive tried deleting extra things on the computer i dont need. not sure if i have a virus causing this or is the photoshop.

    Did this just start to happen?

     

    Yes, a virus can slow things down. You may have too many programs running in the background. You may be working when your computer is defragging or doing a virus scan. Lots of things.

    Ah yes,

    I had this happen with CS4...

     

    I ran 3 strong, good virus scans (that way that spyware/trojan/virus whatever has nowhere to hide.

    Then I went through and deleted a bunch of crap on my computer.

    And VOILA!

    I sugguest you try this...

    There is a good online virus checker called Panda...

    I sugguest you try it - If you can't run numerous scan with your program.
