Convert pdf to word .doc without frames

Jan 22, 2009 4:09 PM

I have some users who I recently upgraded to Adobe Acro 8 and are now having issues with pdf's that they are converting to word documents. The problem is that each paragraph and/or line is contained within FRAMES. Now I can remove the frames from Word but every method destroys the formatting and on a 500 + page legal document . . . . well, you get the picture.

They are then trying to merge and compare from withing word which crashes when comparing/merging a framed and unframed document.

Any ideas on how to keep this from happening during conversion?

    Hello surferstylee,

    Thank you for your post.
You should know that these forums are specific to the Acrobat.com website and conversion using its set of hosted services, and do not cover the Acrobat family of desktop products.
Any questions related to the Acrobat family of desktop products would be best suited in the Acrobat Forums:

    Thanks!

    OK - here's my issue:
    1) PDF document - originally converted form Word document.
    2) Verion 9 Acrobat - converts document, but document has tables in it (word created) - drops the data from the tables, but brings the tables over.
    3) PDF converted to Word in verion 8, from another PC, and no issue - EU doing this - tried version 9 on 2 pcs with same result - so now need to see why 9 is having an issue when ver 8 is not.

    Hi Franinlv,

Your post is also an Acrobat 9 posting/question. Thanks for posting, but you would probably benefit most from posting to that link I posted above...

Here it is again -- Link to Acrobat Forums

    Thanks!

Hi, do your pdf is contains tables? If so, the generated word file is with frames.

If not, you may try to convert pdf to word using anybizsoft pdf to word converter. The conversion quality is good without frames and text boxes.
