Hi there:
I'm having the same problems and its frustrating me to pieces. I'm on a really tight deadline and am a fairly new Priemiere user. I tried importing the project into After Effects. I do get an error, but everything seems to load in. The timelines are not AVI's so how does AE read them and how did you encode from there? I don't know how to use AFter Effects yet.
I cannot believe this. I waited until there had been patches etc.. Adobe e seminars raved about the product. Used the Clean uninstall tool to completetly remove all other Adobe products, not just CS3. Then did a clean installation. All looks well. Worked for 4 days on my project. Loving it!!! Try to export - not really an unreasonable objective, I would have thought and Media Encoder will not export. What the hell is this?!?
Now I read in this forum that Adobe have known about this problem for some time and not done anything about it, apparently. ![]()

Hello:
I have figured out a work around that is not particularily technical, but
its working for me. My project is one and a half hours long. Its intended to be
authored. So I have many bins full of different media, tons of titles and
14 timelines. Now the timelines and the renders are the issue I'm finding.
If your project is big, try this. Adobe felt I could have corrupted project files,
but I've discovered but they are not.
Exit CS4 and create another project folder. THen go to open your main
project. Resave it into the new project with a different name so you always
have a copy (Make sure you have a copy of the original too). If you don't
have the ability to delete a number of timelines from your project folder,
then I would suggest cut your project up. Yes, cut it up in parts that you
can knit back together in Encore. Also make sure that your preview folders
do not collectively exceed 85GYGs. If they do, delete some and only render
out the section you want to export. Now try going to the encoder. It works
for me so far.
Repeat this for the remainder of your project.
We should not have to do this, but what option do we have. I have 6 weeks
into my project and 6 more to go. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

PLEASE HELP, ive been trying for 3 days moving plug ins etc... and reinstalling and nothing works.. i dont have cs3 and
Welcome to the forum.
Besides the cited Native Instruments, what about Soundflower? Baring those two programs, there are tons of VST's, especially the "instruments," that cause issues with loading. Have you tried launching several times? Depending on the # of offending VST's, it could take a dozen re-boots, before the blacklist is fully populated.
Good luck,
Hunt
I work on PC and have a Premiere CS4 project which has dynamically linked AE compositions in its timeline, with voiceovers on the audio track. When I export, AME will launch and will export when I click start queue. When I play the export file, whatever the format the audio plays all the way through but only a small selection of composition footage will play, the majority of the video is just a dark screen. Very frustrating. I used CS3 up to a few weeks ago, but my new job requires me to use Production Premium CS4, and I'm not impressed with it.
Welcome to the forum.
This would probably be a great topic to post anew, as the people replying might get confused on exactly where this fits into such an old thread, with many other problems.
When you do, I'd also post as much info, as is possible, to keep the questions to a minimum, and give people material to work with. They will get right to your problem much more quickly. This ARTICLE will give you some tips on the types of info that would be so very useful.
Now, maybe one of our tireless MOD's can split this out to a separate thread, but you might want to add a bit more detail.
Good luck,
Hunt
this is sooooo frustrating... i have a clean copy of Premiere CS4 and never installed CS3 on my Macbook pro and it wont allow me to encode my videos. Everytime i export the media from premiere to media encoder, it keeps giving me the (!) error

HELP PLS!!

You seem to have the best knowledge of the issues with exporting projects from Adobe Premiere C4 and being forced into using Adobe C4 Media Encoder.
If you truly have found a solution, please let me know via email or forum.
I have a 7 min video project, editing in Premiere C4... and everytime I try to export into .avi for any format, Media Encoder sits there.
I have tried preferences, everything I can think of. Again, I stuck with video that does work with encore, but I need much larger file
video project formats, even flv for the internet...IN SHORT HELP.... FYI.. It does work most of the time if I add a complete video file,
then encode, it works MOST OF THE TIME.
thanks so much.
