I'm actually very happy to see this Curt,
In your system specs on th Youtube video, it shows that you have the Intel Quad Core Q9450 @ 2.66 GHz.
I've got this same chip in one computer, and the next higher chip in another computer, a Quad Core Q9550 @ 2.83 GHz
this chip is $279 at this point in time ( May 4, 2010 )

I thought this 9550 was a screaming cpu chip, for most application it really is, but with PP it isn't, however it's "ok"
I now realize why these new i7 chips do so well with PP, - but some of them are approx $1,000 . Yikes.

However, that said, if you are getting that kind of playback on your system, that gives me great hope. I'll wait for a a few months and see what
gets added for Mercury certified graphic cards and then make a decision. Nice though that your system is playing back so smoothly !
In theory, even if I bought the same card you have installed,( the GTX-285 ) I should get the same kind of playback. I then wonder, what happens if I upgrade my ram from my existing 8 Gb to 16 Gb ... would this aid in playpack ? and would video render out more quickly ?
Dave.
