CPU Spikes due to squiggly

May 18, 2010 1:00 PM

I have an application that contains a squiggly spell checker that is contained in a tab in a tabnavigator.  This tab can be closed and opened many times during the application's life cycle.  I am having CPU spikes up to 100% for several minutes since I started using squiggly.  I have not been able to catch it in the profiler, but I have caught it in the debugger.  Whenever I suspend the application from the debugger during the period of 100% CPU, the application is always in an enterFrame event with the target an object of type com.adobe.linguistics.spelling.ui.SpellingHighlighter

Any possible ideas or suggestions for how I can debug this issue?

I am using the latest version of squiggly with Flex 3.5

Thank you

How much text or how many text fields do you have on the tab that is being opened and exhibiting this CPU Spike issue?  Any more information you can provide regarding your application or how you are integrating Squiggly?
