Brush Size changing

Mar 21, 2008 3:51 PM

Hi,

i was hoping to find a quick way of changing the size of a brush, other than using the mouse to click on the brush and move the slider.

is there a key I can hold down and move the mouse wheel to change brush size?

thanks

Harry

Oops, stupid forum coding. The close bracket ( ] ) for bigger, the open bracket for smaller.

Just keep tapping the key till the brush is the size you want--no need to use the mouse at all.

In PS 4 you can also press (control and option) when working with a brush tool.  Then you just move your pen or mouse (press button) up or down to change the size of your brush.

    Hi,

I have PSE 8 and try to use those brackets. But:

If I want to use bracket itself, I should press AltGr + F = [

If I use only brackets, it does not work.

    How do I use:

If I press only [ (that is F), than in PSE Crop Tool opens.

If I press only ] (that is G), than Gradient tool opens.

If I use AltGr + F (G) nothing happens at all (it would be very inconvenient, pressing too much keys...).

Perheaps my keybord is wierd? I use Logitech wireless.

Or is there some other key for those brackets? Or, do I use something that is not the proper bracket? I am really confused!

Does anyone have a solution, please?

    Thanks, Natasa

I would say it's something in your keyboard setup, since the plain old bracket keys should certainly work, on an American keyboard, at least. Are you saying you have no bracket keys? I don't understand why you are typing F to get a bracket. Do you have your keyboard set up for one language and your OS for a different one? This is a QWERTY keyboard, right?

I'm still a little confused by your original post. Are you saying you don't have these keys, or that they don't type the correct characters?

On my keyborad there are keys F and G and brackets also underneath those letters. I can type bracket only if I press F+AltGr simultaniously = [

    Or

    G+AltGr simutaniuosly  = ].

    I hope I am clear enough ...

And thank you for your concern!!!

I have asked on Logitech forum and I will let you know the answer.

    Regards, natasa

    Hi, Barbara

I found out, where is the problem

I have keyborad for EastWestern language. That means that I have keys for š an đ on places where brackets should be. So I will have to use mouse and not brackets.

It is Ok, now when I know the point!!

Look at the picture of my keyboard:

    Thanks again!

    best regards, Natasa
