Is there some mechanism available to request Adobe to create a specific lens profile? If so, what must I do?
I would attempt to create one myselft except that I really don't know what I am doing when it comes to lens profiles and I would prefer to use one made by the experts at Adobe.
The lens I wish to have profiled is the Nikon 200-400mm VR f/4 lens (version 1) with the Nikon D3s body and the Nikon D300 body.
Dear Team,
If Adobe team have a plan to release all model of Nikon Lens with D3 body series, it is a good thing for many Photographers (including me). Thank you Martin to request this to Adobe Team. We're looking forward to hearing good news from Adobe team. Thank you so much for your kind support and your valuable time to review customer request.
Best regards,
Top
Some more requests for D3S and D700:
AF-S Zoom-NIKKOR 17-35mm f/2.8D IF-ED
AF Zoom-Nikkor 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED
The first one must already be on the list since it's a major professional lens. The second one is not so professional, but if corrected it will be a real gem.
Thanks.
I am sure the number of requests may be quite large as is the combinations of lenses/sensor sizes...
I would appreciate profiles for full frame Nikon mount
Nikon 50mm f/1.4D AF
Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di SP AF
Sigma 105 mm F2.8
Sigma 70mm F2.8
although the last 2 lenses are so close to perfect, they usually need only a minor and constant manual adjustment.
Thanks!
My desired profiles (in order of preference):
1. Tokina 12-24mm f/4
2. Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3
3. Nikon 28mm f/2.8 AF-D
4. Nikon 55-200mm VR
I shoot with a Nikon D300.
Thanks to anyone who can help me out
(I'd totally create my own profiles, but I don't have the materials)
Cheers!

Hmmm....Would have thought that Adobe would be a little more proactive in creating their own profiles instead of trusting me to come up with something...Err, thanks for the honors! (Does that mean that I'm working for Adobe now?)
Well, I'd like to see my un-profiled lenses on here of course! Canon 28 - 105mm 3.5 - 4.5 USM II,
Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 Xi DRII sp
Thanks Adobe! (Though I'm still trusting my PTlens software...for now).
I would spin it a little differently, i.e., that you are actually contributing (or "working for", if you prefer) to the photographic community, rather than to Adobe. For example, when I personally contribute lens profiles for the various lenses I own, the folks who benefit from that effort are fellow photographers.

Yes please, as the actual profile from the community shows vignetting problem in my LR3 workflow.
I'm a little envious, as a Lightroom-but-not-Photoshop owner, all I can do is read about the problems with the current community profile. Actually being able to work with the bad profile would be a step up! ![]()
I submitted that profile to the repository a while ago made on my D300. It works great. Send me a PM if you want it before it shows up. I don't have CS5 so I don't know if it got included already.
Once the profiles are submitted, they will be validated automatically and made available immediately online.
