I have installed a CS5 Master Collection on my PC with Win7 64bit. To my big surprise I found the 32bit version of Photoshop on my PC now.
Before that action I had already Photoshop CS5 64-bit installed on this PC, I uninstalled it prior to the Master Collection installation.
How to get this fixed? I've never been asked which PS version should be installed.
Unless you specifically instruct the installer not to do so, Creative Suite 5 and Photoshop CS5 will install both the 64-bit and the 32-bit versions of Photoshop on your system.
Why? Most third party plug-ins, including support for many scanners, have not been updated for the 64-bit versions of Photoshop. This was also true for CS4.

On the initial install splash screen it shows a list of the CS5 programs, all are checked by default. If you simply select this the installer will in fact install both the 32 bit and the 64 bit.
So, double check the program list to see if you do not have both installed.
If not, you will have to try a reinstall for the 64bit. Or possibly unistall everything then do a reinstall.
There are a number of plugins that will not run on the 64bit so I keep both installed.

Ok, got it: CS5 Master Collection installs also the 64-bit version of Photoshop - but does not include it into the "Adobe Master Collection CS5" group under the Windows Start button, there I can find only the 32-bit version. Using the Windows Explorer I can launch the 64-bit version.
Thanks.
