Every time I try to download FP I get an error message

"Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer

A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage.

Windows Data Execution Prevention detected an add-on trying to use system memory incorrectly. This can be caused by a malfunction or a malicious add-on."

I am using Windows XP Home Edition and Internet Explorer 8 and still have the previous version of FP installed (as far as I know).

Grateful for any suggestions on what I should try.

Thanks

Paul

Then download the Internet Installer for Flash Player and SAVE to your Desktop:

Then Run the Uninstaller and Reboot Once.

Test here: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Then check your websites to see if they are now operating properly.

Post back if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Hi eidnolb

Many thanks. That worked perfectly, apart from the test site, which I couldn't access for some reason. Still FP now works everywhere else.

Thanks again for your very quick and helpful response.

Hi, Ok, glad that took care of it for you. Oh, you can try the test site whenever. Your websites working is probably a truer test:-) That would be sort of funny, FP working everywhere but the Adobe test sites, LOL

Thanks Paul,
