Has anyone yet tried to produce a profile for the Tokina 12-24 f4 zoom?
If so, would you be willing to share it?
Are Adobe likely to produce profiles for lenses from most manufacturers when the RC becomes final? Or will you concentrate mainly on "professional" lenses?
After posting, I set about downloading and reading through all the .pdfs with the intention of finding out how to do my own profiles. Giving it a go is the next stage.
More news as I progress!
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I've shot various iterations of the lens at a variety of focal lengths and have created a profile for the 12mm length. Then when I try to add the next focal length (15mm) and append it to the original profile I don't get the message I'm supposed to get which is shown on p14 of the booklet. Same for adding other focal lengths to the same profile no option to append appears, only to save the profile. Is this normal behaviour or am I missing something obvious?

That's normal. It appears the booklet was made for an earlier version of the profile creator. Rest assured that your new focal lengths are being appended to the profile. You can check this out very easily by opening the profile in a text editor.
I'm searching for a profile-set for Tokina 12-24/4 for Nikon (D300) ... is there somebody who did this with lens profile creator and would send it to me via mail? Would be really nice ...

Thanks a lot ...
It was produced on a Nikon D90 rather than a D300 but it should help at least. I've sent you an e-mail and attachment to the address you gave from "mediateacher" my alternate e-mail address so don't get confused. Hope it helps.Any probs get in touch.
I have a profile for this lens produced on a D80 in RAW. The vignetting produced by the profile is too aggressive for me at the 24mm end so I use the default setting and take vignetting down till I'm happy rather than using the auto setting.
I'll send you an e-mail with the profile. Hope it works as you would like.
Tried three times to send the profile to the email address you supplied cbit2005 at gmail dot com. Returned three times by postmaster.
Can you let me have another address to send it to please?

Would it be useful for me to post a public link with the profile you created? Then people could just download it directly rather than having to post to this board and having you email it so many times (which you graciously don't mind doing). Just let me know
All: here is a public link to download Paul's Tokina 12-24 f/4 Adobe lens profile, created in RAW with a Nikon D80 (but useful for most Nikon DX cameras shooting RAW, and still useful to correct distortion and vignetting on JPEGs and CA on JPEGs from older Nikons). As Paul noted earlier in the thread, the vignetting correction is a tad high (probably also varies slightly), but otherwise it's fabulous. Thanks, Paul! (and to Adobe for adding this feature)
possibly silly question:
would this profile work with a Canon, shooting RAW? am still trying to get the gist of the lens correction profiles
probably since you select the lens make/model not camera make / lens make / model in Lightroom .....
I wouldn't have thought so. Nikon cameras have a crop factor of 1.5 whereas Canon cameras have a crop factor of 1.6 so the lens geometry would likely be different.
It wasn't that difficult to create the profile why not have a go yourself?
