Jacket Pic and Disk Title Info

Feb 3, 2007 6:49 AM

I recently purchased a Sony 400-disk jukebox.
It has the option to "LOAD" disks, capturing the title info and a Jacket Picture from each disk.

Is there some way to get this information onto a disk created by Encore?
The Jacket Pics are in a directory: JACKET_PIC in the root of the DVD.
I can't find anything about the title info... must be embedded in the .VOB files.

If Encore doesn't support this, please add it to the "wishlist".

You can do this in Encore.

I don't have any DVD reader or changer that displays the title but I would guess that the Movie Title is written as a disc name. Go to the "Disc" tab in the Project panel and write the Movie Title as the "Disc name".

Analyzed the original request I posted 3 years ago, and am re-requesting it.

I can get around it using the TITLEWRITER package, but it really should be in Encore, possibly as a feature for placing MetaData into the DVD IFO files.

The JacketPic is a "nice to have", but not really necessary....  ignore that request.

I have a Sony Juke Box that holds 400 DVD's, and scans DVD's as they are inserted to generate a "contents" list.
It would really be nice if Encore put the title into the VIDEO_TS.IFO file.

    The change is relatively simple:
You need to add the VMG_TXTDT_MG block to the .IFO file, filling in the following fields:
    [000000ec]         Volume:     1 0 0 0     [01 00 00 00 ]
    [000000f0]           Name: PROJ VOLUME TITLE    48 0 0 136     [30 00 00 88 ]
    [000000f4]         : PROJ VOLUME TITLE 240 0 0 136     [f0 00 00 88 ]
and add the sector number to the VGM_MAT block at offset 000000d4
