this has been a long time question, why, when you bring illustrator artwork into flash does it add so many unecessary control points to the object? something as simple as a circle with 4 happy control points in illustrator suddenly becomes a 20 control point circle when brought into flash. it has been this way forever and i know that there is no setting to change this, i just wondered why this happens cause it has always been frustrating to me. and do you think they will ever be able to make it not do this?

Hi surfpunk1,
Dont import windows Meta Files (WMF)...and dont even use them..
An Adobe Illustrator file needs just. 4 cardinal points to draw a circle.
A WMF file needs 360 of those same points.
So go with Illustrator.

no, actually what i meant to say was exporting out of illustrator as an SWF and then importing into Flash it adds so many points. i do some of my animation in illustrator because of the better set of drawing tools (if only they could add a timeline), but after exporting them to an SWF and bringing them into Flash there are so many points it makes it impossible to make even minor tweaks to it. if you import an illustrator file into flash it keeps the point count the same. thanks for the replies.
