I have several forms using Spry validation in Dreamweaver CS4. Testing in the broswer seems to indicate everything is working well. However we get several blank forms everyday. These appear to be from some sort of auto fill program, I'm assuming from a hacker or something, where we get a form filled with gibberish, and then right after that we get a totally blank form. How is this possible and how can I stop this while keeping the forms user friendly (not interested in using CAPTCHA).
Here is one of the forms: http://www.superbolt.com/contact.php
Thank you for any input or advice!!
This is an old thread, but during my search with the same problem I stumbled on this answer to a problem similar to mine. Why would someone want to turn off validation and send a blank form? My problem has been posted on the main Dreamweaver Forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/857769?tstart=0
One thing I found curious was that I could Submit the form if the entire page was not fully loaded. The email received had the Required fields label listed with no data input. This makes sense to me, but the emails in question come completely blank -- as you state, validations removed. What would be the purpose of that? If a hacking tactic, what is the gain?

Spry validations are JavaScript validations, users can still turn off JavaScript and submit the form without restrictions. The JavaScript validations are meant for a enhancement of server side validation, it should not be used as replacement of server side validation.
