Quick Question about FlexNativeMenu

I am new to Adobe Flex Builder. In my Adobe Air Application I am building in Adobe Flex 3.0. I understand how to connect a mx:tree to a mx:html in my application page using a data provider and a mx:XMLList. But how do you connect the FlexNativeMenu to the mx:html so every time a person clicks on the menu item, the mx:html on the page changes. I would also like to use a data provider and a mx:XMLList for the FlexNativeMenu. If anyone could help, i would greatly appreciate it.
