Warping script logo without distorting it

Aug 10, 2010 8:04 AM

Hi,

I am trying to warp or do text wrap for a logo on a CD that is a name in script. However, I don't know how to do it without distorting it where you lose the "shape" of the logo. Basically I want to wrap it so that nothing changes except it warping like an arc without distorting it.

Anyone know how to do this?

I'm not sure if I am describing this correctly so pls feel free to ask for clarification.

Thanks so much for your time.

I'm not sure what a script logo is.

I would draw a circle with the elipse tool. Then select Type on a Path click on the left of the circle. If you want a half circle, or just an arc you'll need to pull the scissors out and do some cutting. Once you get your logo onto the path, you'll need to replay around with it to get it just right.

An easy tip for centering text on an arc is to use spacebar, if your text flows farther than originally intended and looks lopsided and you can not go back any further via backspace. Then take the rotate tool, center it on your elipse and gently rotate left until you've made a nice centered arc.

For the love of me I do not know why I wrote, but clearly I was not thinking about what I was writing.

    LOL!
