We have been working on a software package to convert film industry 3D and 1D LUTs to ICC Profiles.
The software is now working, and the first ICC Profiles converted from 3D LUTs are in use on a major film at a post-production facility in Australia...
At the moment the conversion is offered as a service only, but the fill software - called SpaceMan ICC - will be released for direct purchase next month.
Where we could do with some help is understanding what profiles people really want to use?
At the moment we are making input profiles that can be used in the likes of Photoshop, After Effects, etc., but have been looking at display profiles - but can't really get our head around them as they all seem to actually be RGB 1D LUTs loaded into the graphics card, rather than profiles in the form of an input ICC profile with real colour space data management capability...
Any input welcome.
