Hello,
I was messing around with downloading and then inserting a few
widgets into practice files. I downloaded a total of 3 and found
only one truly worked. The Google Map widget did not work.
There are other ways to insert say the Google Map widget without
using the Dreamweaver interface.
So my questions are as follows:
How popular are these DW widgets, I noticed there are about 35 total?
And
Has anyone had problems with widgets not working like say the Google Map widget?
Thanks,
Jim
If the Google Map is not displaying set the width and height to a fixed pixel value instead of 100%. You can create your own pressets with fixed widths. I will work on getting an update posted that defaults to pixel widths.
What other Widget did you have a problem with? Can you post a url to an example of it not working?
As for the popularity of the widgets, look in the Adobe Exchange view you can see the # of downloads for each widget. There are currently 25 widgets. We encourage everyone to create and post more widgets! Check out the "Widget Developer Documentation" in the Help menu for instructions on how to create a widget.
Hope that is helpful,

The links to the placeholder images in the Lightbox Gallery Widget by Andres Cayon are site relative so they will not work if you preview the page locally in any browser. You should replace the images being sure to replace both the inner that is used as the thumbnail image and the outer that is used for the lightbox image. If you replace the links with document relative links they will work when you preview locally. Make sure to upload all of the image files before testing on your server as long as you do this the site relative links will work when you preview them on the server.
